Description: U.S. ZIP Code Areas (Five-Digit) represents five-digit ZIP Code areas used by the U.S. Postal Service to deliver mail more effectively. The first digit of a five-digit ZIP Code divides the United States into 10 large groups of states numbered from 0 in the Northeast to 9 in the far West. Within these areas, each state is divided into an average of 10 smaller geographic areas, identified by the second and third digits. These digits, in conjunction with the first digit, represent a sectional center facility or a mail processing facility area. The fourth and fifth digits identify a post office, station, branch or local delivery area.

Description: The data in this shapefile were generated by Memphis Light Gas and Water. They were created by merging the STREETCL, ALLEY, and PRVTDRV facilities in the MLGW Cablecad Streets spatial database. The shapefiles were generated using the Enghouse conversion tool for ArcMap. Each line represents the center of a street segment.
Description: The streets have been categorized for symbology in the base map using the “VANITY” field. Categories are “INTERSTATE”, “MAJOR”, “MINOR”, and the remaining are various categories as outlined below.ALY (Alley), AVE (Avenue), BLF (Bluff), BND (Bend), BYP (Bypass), CIR (Circle), CMN (Common), CMNS (Commons), CMTY (Cemetery), CRK (Creek), CSW (Causeway), CT (Court), CV (Cove), DR (Drive), EMERG (Emergency Crossover), EXCH (Exchange), EXT (Extended), GLN (Glen), GRN (Green), GRV (Grove), HL (Hill), HLS (Hills), HOLW (Hollow), HWY (Highway), LDG (Landing), LK (Lake), LN (Lane), LOOP, MALL, MDWS (Meadows), MEDIAN, MNR (Manor), NOTYPE, PARK, PASS, PATH, PIKE, PK (Park), PKWY (Parkway), PL (Place), PLZ, (Plaza), PNS (Pines), PT (Point), RAMP, RD (Road), RDG (Ridge), ROW, RNWY (Runway), RUN, SQ (Square), ST (Street), STA (Station), TER (Terrace), TRCE (Trace), TRL (Trail), VW (View), WALK, WAY, XING (Crossing).Manual classification of these types (“INTERSTATE”, “MAJOR”, and “MINOR”) was performed using the existing feature classes of Common GDB Transportation_MajorHighways and Transportation_MajorRoads. Additionally, the State Highway number was added to the “SEGID” field for the “Major” road segments. For accuracy, the Transportation_Centerline_Region_E911 was compared against GISADMIN.MLGW_Transportation_Centerline, GISADMIN.COM_Transportation_Centerline_E911, and the latest (2018) aerial imagery from pictometry. Any conflicts, such as missing roads and misaligned roads, were resolved using the latest imagery.

Description: This data was acquired from Engineering who received it from Jim Milford in OPD. This is the FEMA Q3 data that Jim manipulated and pulled out the pertinent information such as flood way, 100 year flood flood plain and 500 year flood plain. The data was last updated on 10/16/2012. The new FEMA Flood Zone types have been converted to match with the old types: 500-YEAR FLOOD = 0.2 PCT ANNUAL CHANCE FLOOD HAZARD, (FLOODPLAIN) = AE, and FLOODWAY = AE (FLOODWAY).
Description: LiDAR data is a remotely sensed high resolution elevation data collected by an airborne platform. The LiDAR sensor uses a combination of laser range finding, GPS positioning, and inertial measurement technologies. The LiDAR systems collect data point clouds that are used to produce highly detailed Digital Elevation Models (DEMs) of the earth's terrain, man-made structures, and vegetation. The task required the LiDAR data to be collected at a nominal pulse spacing (NPS) of 1.0 meter. The final products include first, last, and at least one intermediate return LAS, full classified LAS and one (1) meter pixel raster DEMs of the bare-earth surface in ERDAS IMG Format. This task required feature extraction following the guidance provided in the NGA document "LiDAR Extraction Guide 08OCT2010 [FOUO].pdf". The LiDAR data was acquired on December 01, 2011. Woolpert utilized proprietary algorithms to automatically extract building footprints formed by the intersection of the structure with the ground surface. This task required 2-D building feature extraction (building footprint) for 560 square miles of the AOI in Shelby County Tennessee.
